Bruny Island House of Whisky is a funky little stone building that overlooks the stunning D'Entrecasteaux Channel on beautiful Bruny Island.

The tasting bar offers an extensive selection of over 175 Tasmanian single malts, an exceptional experience for whisky connoisseurs and gin lovers alike. It is also home to our exclusive range of Bruny Island House of Whisky limited releases, Spellbound single malt whisky, the Seclusion limited release range of gins, and Spellbound barrel-aged gin.

Nice spot to stop off for a drink with view, if you don’t mind spending the money and learning absolutely nothing about the drinks you are consuming.

Tasting flights (of 3 varieties) will set you back approximately $40pp for either gin or whiskey. No description or tasting notes are provided and while the gin flight comes with tonic water (Schweppes) they don’t include any garnish which is pretty standard these days.

The venue itself is nice enough, particularly if you can get a spot outside overlooking the bay. Overall an average experience - you certainly wouldn’t leave thinking “I must buy a bottle”, but also it’s a perfectly fine activity to do while on Bruny Island.
