Celebrate the achievements and craft of Tasmanian distilleries, their spirits and whisky. In its 8th edition, Tasmanian Whisky Week has established itself as Australia's most emblematic whisky event. It is one of Tasmania’s principal winter events, supporting the local music scene, hospitality and accommodation providers and many small businesses connected to the industry.

The event attracts more than 1,300 people, half of whom make the yearly pilgrimage from the mainland to attend over 20 events across the state in August.

Exciting new formats are presented each year, stepping away from conventional sit-down tastings and creating real whisky experiences and themed events that buck the trend. From intimate encounters where you can try different expressions, including small batch rye grain whisky, experimental blends and some of the world’s best triple-distilled and pure pot still whiskey made in Tasmania.

From boutique distillers to world-famous brands, Tas Whisky Week’s flagship event, The Tasmanian Spirit Showcase, unites more than 40 distilleries from all over Tasmania, thrilled to share their spirits and stories with you.

Meet the distillers and enjoy your favourite dram and exclusive Tasmanian Whisky Week releases while enjoying live music and local produce.

At the biggest celebration of the industry, you will have the chance to taste a wide variety of high-quality and limited-release Tasmanian spirits, including whisky, gin, vodka, rum, and liqueurs, all under one roof at the home of great events.
